Porch Swings

Who doesn't love a porch swing?

Porch swings are the perfect romantic spot, solitary place to read a book, and a staple in any good southern home.

Here are some of my favorite pictures and ideas on how to use your porch swing.

Porch swing bed... Yes please!

Egg chair. Looks like a nest, but a very cool nest.

Modern swing. Love the color! Love the pillows!

Such a cute idea! Hang one in your living room, or as I want to do, your baby room! (thenest.com)

The way it should be, only with better outfits, and economic prosperity.

Awesome Fall colors. Doesn't this just make you want to curl up with a good book and a mug of hot spiced cider?

Chic Halloween Decorating

I love hosting parties and can't wait until we have a home large enough to have more than one couple over at a time. Halloween is one of the most fun holidays on the calendar but its so often overly cheesy and I don't do cheesy. Kitschy yes, cheesy no. Here are some of my favorite chic and sophisticated Halloween decorations I have seen this season.

Evelyn and Anna NOW OPEN!

After at least two years of talking about opening an Etsy shop, I finally have. Evelyn and Anna is now open.

I have been making coffee cup cozies and am selling them for between $12.50-$30.50 (for a cozy with a $20 Sbucks gift card, can you say perfect stocking stuffer?). I am loving having my shop open and working on more and more creative cozies.

Here are some of the designs that I have been working on.

There are more to come. I'm working on some really cool designs that should be up by next week.

Xoxo!

Oops!

Somehow I forgot to include the links for the projects that I posted from Purl Bee the other day. So here they are:

Resources

I have promised myself that I won't spend any money on resources until I've used most of what I already have, however that doesn't mean I can't lust over beautiful and fabulous treasures. I found this site like I find most things online, by accident. Purl Soho can be found in, you guessed it, Soho, New York. They are home to great crafting, quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting supplies. Now if you can't make it into there store (which I plan on doing next time I'm in the City) there website has everything you could dream of right at your fingertips, and you don't even have to put shoes on.

Here are some of my favorite Purl Soho products:

AND if there store isn't inspiring enough for you, check out their blog for great projects.

Funky Christmas Trees

I am LOVING felt these days. Its so easy to work with, (no hemming required!) it comes in great colors and its the perfect option for the graphic look that's so hot right now.

I stumbled upon these cute and funky Christmas trees and now I really want to make some for the coming holiday season. Now all I need is a mantle to put them on!

I'm back...

I'm going to start posting more often on this blog until I get my other website (coreydunn.com) working.

One of the top things I want to start posting are projects/recipes that I want to make and things that inspire me. This way I have a record of projects and I can come back here to reference them, and hopefully you will find them inspiring and helpful too.

Please feel free to comment on anything you have made or want to make and send me suggestions!

Cheers!

Stairs and Shelves

Ryan and I just moved into our new place (yay!). About all we have done at this point is unpack all of our amazing wedding gifts and realized that we need some serious shelving. I'm hoping to be able to put some under the stairs and behind (our yet to exist) dining table.

Here are some inspirational ideas...

This is my favorite, with all the built-in drawers.

I love the mini kitchen!

This little door is so sweet.

Can't get much better than a wine rack.

A nice little office space complete with filing drawers.
